Tell me the VC 35/2.5 Pancake II M is a v.3 Summicron

Mine sat cold for a while after I bought a 50 cron, then the 35 1.2. I shot a roll with it about a week ago...It is back in the line-up full time between 5 am and 9 pm.

Thanks. I needed that after deciding to buy my second VC lens (first was a 40/1.4 that I hated).
My first lens was the VC 40 SC and I have ,lets say reservations.Perhaps I chose incorrectly and should have bought someting which produced something more to my taste. Still new to this aspect although been shooting for years. The line up does get good reviews though and I will certainly give the wides a try.

I had the CV Skopar 35/2.5 classic, and liked it, but ultimately sold it. I "replaced" it w/ a Minolta Rokkor-M 40/2.0 (CLE version), purchased from a member here. The two lenses are about the same size, which is to say quite small, and gaining an extra stop w/ the Rokkor 40 was, to me, worth the slight difference in focal length. Finally, the Rokkor 40 produces a look that is indistinguishable from a 35 summicron v. 4. Since I can't afford a summicron 35 (either v. 3 or v. 4), this was a pretty satisfactory result. Although the little CV skopar is a great lens and a fabulous bargain, I haven't missed it.
