Are eyes for the f/2, 2.8, and 3.5 35mm lenses for the M3 cross-compatible?

The eyes on my 2.8 are off and don't seem to be repairable, at least immediately, so I'm wondering if I can find a cheaper 3.5 in mediocre condition and transplant the goggles...

Thanks!

Are you sure that it isn't adjustable? My Summaron 2,8/35 goggles were off too, horizontally as well as vertically, but an easy adjustment of the (round) RF-lens solved this problem.
There are three screws. IIRC the one at 2 o'clock (seen from front) is for keeping adjustment and lens fixed. It sits deeply in the frame and in my case was hidden by black mastic, so I overlooked it at first.
The screw at 9 o'clock should be for horizontal adjustment, the one at 6 o'clock for vertical adjustment.
Very minor twisting of the two setting screws caused significant differences, so take it easy and do it bit by bit.

Hope this helps.

The set screws are damaged and I'm in central Africa...no way to send it to a pro to try to fix, and it'd probably cost more than just buying another lens...

Thanks, though!
