Oddly, the M9 announcement had me looking at M6TTLs and M7s because of the shutter speed rotation issue. I can see myself saving up for an M9 over the course of several years, but having my M6 classic and a wrong-way body might be more than my little brain can handle.

Help me out, Ken, I am not following the logic. yeah M7.

Hmmm, arguably, there is no rotation direction for the shutter speed dial on the M7. ;) Depends on how often you over-ride the meter and whether you use "A." If you don't (or don't very often), might as well leave it on aperture priority and not worry about rotation direction?

That's actually how I shoot my M6 - I select an aperture, then change shutter speeds as needed (within reason). Happy experience with my OM2n makes me think I'd put an M7 to good use.

M7 has an AE lock function, right?

I often think something similar about older motorcylces with right-foot shift & left foot brake..

Get on it, glance... Got it.

I use Nikons and the shutter goes the same way as a Leica (classic) and the aperature doesn't.

Pick it up, glance... Got it.

I have no problem switching back and forth, just not at the same time! I think using two almost identical bodies with a such basic inconsistency at one time would drive me nuts.

Oh, well - no M9 on the horizon for me, so I guess it's moot.

Were you shooting both designs at the same time, one on each shoulder? That's what I'm referring to here.

I think the left-right right-left rotation is an ant hill turned into a mountain. I've never had a problem using the diff cameras simultaneously.

Hmmmm. Maybe I need to borrow Francisco's M6TTL and try shooting it side by side with my Classic. It just seems like it would drive me nuts!
