hood attached to the lens by means of threads, but the problem is that the hood is not fixed. There are some thoughts?

Some users have put gaffer tape on it, but you're right - it's a major design flaw. I got rid of mine because of it after the hood fell off. Now have a Zeiss C Biogon 35mm f/2.8.

I kept the lenses (35mm & 50mm Summarit - they take the same lens shade) but returned the shade.

Maybe the Voigtländer shade fits, the LH2. It can be fixed.

This hood will work with much less money:

put some PTFE (Teflon) tape on the thread. You could also try dental tape or floss, or tiny weeny bit of blue tack. lots of simple solutions to this problem.

I wonder why leica does not see these problems

I have the same problem with my summarit-M 35's hood.
I think it's a waste of money to buy this hood.
Anyway I'm using summarit-M35 with B+W UV and no hood.
I'm wondering why leica does not see these problems, too.

Summarits are cheaper Leica lenses made possible by cutting costs in certain areas.

Thats not the cause of the issue. Its a design issue that as pointed out earlier you'd think Leica would have spotted. Still, its easily solved and no reason at all to sell the lens if you like its character and performance. Since when has PTFE tape, blue tack or dental tape been expensive
Most of the savings in the summarits stems from reduce speed i.e. no exotic glass, less glass, no flating elements etc. None of these things matter with a slow lens that does not focus ultra close.

I am surprised! leica can not do normal hood for the lens? This is a great disappointment

Leica offers free metal rings to fix the hood. Ask Leica customer service.
Still, from a design point, a major fail, especially for a "premium brand".

I just got one - it doesn't seem to have this problem (Leica Hood 12459). Maybe they fixed it?

I'm curious if anyone can comment further on this issue. I just got a 35/2.5 Summarit and am debating on whether or not to get the hood. Obviously it's expensive at $130+. It seems similar to the hood design on the 24/3.8 I had which was very good, metal construction, solid, with a well designed tight fitting cap, as opposed to the cap for the 12526 35/2 hood. There are of course lots of cheap alternatives in simple round, vented, 39mm threaded hoods.
What is it about the hood that causes it not to be fixed? How is this issue different than would be for any other threaded hood? Does Leica really offer a free metal ring to fix the hood? Any alternative hoods for this lens that others have used and liked?
