How to adjust the ZM rangefinder - the answer.

Cyanoacrylate is lethal anywhere near transparent plastic surfaces. I've got a ruined Fuji gs645 as a result! (Looking for a replacement front panel at the moment at the online place)

Near lenses it can indeed cause fingerprints to show up, am aware of its forensic uses.
I've taken the care of shielding the glass with folded paper lens tissues for the duration of the exercise and for a few days after. No damage whatsoever. Also: the gel version of this glue is much less agressive as it has a lot less solvent.

Does anyone have a Zeiss ZM lens or access to one? I'm curious if the focus cam is thick on these like the CV lenses, or if it is thin as in the Leica and Minolta.

Found a ZM lens. Their focus cam is thick and more away from the mount than the thin rim of the Leica lenses. Just like the CV lenses.

The modified Leica focus cams work quite well and have so far avoided all infinite focus problems.
I've modified a Rokkor-M as well and it now focuses the same as all the others.

I think I've finally got this problem under control. Dang, was driving me nuts!
Thanks heaps monopix for the pointers and photos on how to handle the alignment.

Thank you Monopix for this useful information. I droped my ZI and prism apparently moved a bit. I aligned it back with your guide.
