I'm going to ask a silly silly question.
I suppose that most folks who like fast lenses as I do, enjoy using them at night. However, these situations often have some light source in the frame. If one has a filter on the lens, it reflects. But if ever there is a time to want additional lens protection, it's at night. Do other folks remove filters and use hoods for protection in these situations? Or, is there some solution I have yet to find.... I particularly notice this with a B&W UV/IR on a nokton 35/1.2. Green circles. :(

I prefer the term "Hot Mirror Filter" for what is labeled an IR filter. These filters reflect infrared, not absorb it. They are dichroic filters, essentially a thin film that reflects unwanted wavelengths. Off-angle, they tend to reflect some visible red leaving Cyan tinge.

When it gets dark and I want to cut back on as many reflections as possible I go with the remove filter and attach hood school of though. I also become a zealot about keeping the lens cap on. Only taking it off to make a shot. Luckily on rangefinders I can keep the cap on while composing.

Sometimes, I get reflections due to the filter but sometimes I actually also like them:
