Olympus Mju 1

Just picked up a Mju I (Stylus to you Americans) on a local market for app. 3 $ fully functional and with a fresh battery. Now, I have seen a lot of praise of the Mju II on this forum, but how does the I compare to the II in terms of picture quality and features. Except for the slower lens on Mju I, I haven't been able to dig up much. Any of you got more information and/or opinions?

simply put, for $3 there's no discussion about buying or what. How they used to say - battery alone is worth the price! Let's move on pics!

I have looked at several completed auctions on *Bay for the Stylus Infinity.
The average camera sold for between $3 to $10 in user condition. I paid too
much for mine. However, it is in excellent + condition and came with the original box, owners manual, an the Olympus case made for the camera.
Got it for $25.00 including shipping. I'm happy with it😀

I've got two. I bought one at a yard sale, along with a 28mm & a 50mm Canon FD lens, for $25. The Stylus, in box, looked like it had never been used. That's probably because, as I discovered, it didn't work. A month later some one gave me one for free that "didn't work" that works just fine. :bang:

I found one at the sally ann for $5, bought it because I knew a friend wanted it. I took it on a vacation to Cuba and got some really nice shots with it. I can see why the camera has the cult following that it does.

Way back when, I bought one new as a gift for my mom--she'd just become a grandma for the first time and wanted something simple but decent--and almost didn't give it to her after I showed her how to use it and got to play with it a little! Cost just a bit more than $3...$190 or so I think it was. I actually have that camera now but it is not working; it won't rewind anymore.
I did get myself the Miju II but didn't like it as well. I prefer the slightly "boxier" shape of the first one. Otherwise, I think the biggest difference between the two is the faster lens on the "II". And I like the photos from either.

I also picked up two of them, one for $5 at a pawn shop and one for $3 at the local Good Will. Few scratches on them, but they both take wonderful pictures. Even though the have a one F stop slower lens, my do great with IOS 200 film. I often carry one of them in my carry on bag or coat pocket when I'm heading into the FSU [Former Soviet Union]. I can usually get some very quick shots with them where perhaps I could get into trouble for taking the shots with a larger camera because they're so small, handy, focus fast and are unobtrucious.
