Well, I took the plunge

Finally, after months of debate, I bought a black M6TTL and a Summicron 50mm "Wetzlar" (not sure whether it must be considered III or IV type).
I guess I'm part of the show now!
Anyway, I just wanted to share some shots from the first test roll (a Fuji Superia 200, lab scans), I really like the results! Can't wait to shoot more!

2, I like the OOF rendition in this one, looks like it has been painted, the summicron is so sharp even at f2, impressive!

I love the colours in the the 1st shot, but I think my fav must be the 4th - I really love how it's not blurred, even at ISO 200.

thanks! it's amazing how slow you can shoot with a Leica and still get sharp pictures!

Ah... the joy of discovering what a Leica can do... Those days of elation when your camera is still new... the fun of shooting at 1/8 and still getting sharp images... The amazing rendition of detail against the OOF zones...

That's the kind of experience that hooks you on Leicas. Beware! You're now on a slippery slope; soon enough you'll want to go wider, or longer, or both, and will start saving money or piling on debt, dreaming of that perfect shot that makes people go "wow!"

I've never been to Rome, but have heard that it's a paradise for street shooters. Set your camera and lens in hyperfocus, à la Garry Winogrand, and patrol those streets shooting from the hip, with ISO 400 black-and-white film (something like Ilford chromogenic or the revered Tri-X), and you'll enjoy the results even more! 🙂

LOL, I hope to stay away from lens acquisition syndrome for a while!
