Hi!

i have m6 with a 2/50mm Summicron and everything worked fine!

a view days ago i walked in a shop to try out some lenses (Nokton 1.2 and the new Heliar 15) but the lenses didn't fit in to the lensemount:confused:

the guy at the camerastore also tried it with another Leica brand lense (don't know witch one) and it was the same problem!

i can put the lens in the lensmount but when i want to twist it to lock it to the camera it blocks after a fiew millimeters!

he says that the little roll on the upper side of the lensmount normaly sitts 3-5mm more inside the cammera and this could be the problem with lenses that goes deeper in to the camera....

i have no problems with my 50mm Summicron and i bought it not with the camera!

the rangefinder is also adjusted fine!

don't know what to do ....

somebody ever heared about that problem??

thanks! and sorry for my english... hope you understand it!

So weird!

Maybe the frame lines actuator is blocked or maybe the lens set button and lock are damaged or loose, so lenses can´t fit on it...

check the circular spring behind the mount isnt catching as i've had this before. If you are not ok with what you are doing, ie bending spring tabs then send it in to someone

Recently someone here or on photo.net posted pictures of the red dot being held up by the black ring that surrounds the lens release button. Some M6s have this too proud and the red dot on some lenses won't clear it. The Summicron has generous real estate for the red dot but some wide angle lenses need the red dot closer to the mount.

I always thought that those lenses were screw mounted and that they required an adaptor for mounting on M bodies.

Not knowing what the "other" Leica type lens was, I couldn't say whether it ought to fit your M6 or not.

both voightlander lenses are M-mount.

the red releas button works just fine and when i a attach the 50 summicron to the camera the right frame flipps in the finder ... everything seems to be all right! its really strange......

i found a man who's take a look on the camera, hopefully he knows whats the problem!:(
