I'm now 60 years old, when I was twelve years old I started to make pictures with my father's Leica IIIc, as time passed it remained in a closet for many many years, a day I finded it and was in really mint condition, four years ago it was stolen (I know I should have saved the serial number)....
Now I bought a IIIF in a very good condition, I'm very happy to have a Leica again, in memorial of my father and make again analog B&W pictures.

Yay! Cameras! 🙈🙉🙊┌( ಠ_ಠ)┘ [◉"]
Welcome! The IIIf and Summitar is a beautiful combination. It is my 1st screw mount Leica.
The Summitar is a wonderful lens and by your serial number, appears to be a 1950 coated version.

Congratulations from across the river. The IIIf is an awesome camera. Many of us classic camera amateurs are following on our parent's tracks.

Don't beat yourself up on not recording the SN of the stolen camera. Stolen cameras are rarely recovered, known serial numbers or not.
Very nice IIIf, by the way!

Good to have you, Emref. This forum has too many youngsters -- who don't know who was Bardot, for example, and who never held a meterless Leica when it was new.
