Black or Chrome?

As most of you know, Bigfoot & Bubba are black chrome. My earliest M-mount lenses for the Boys were 1960s vintage chrome Leitz lenses, 50mm & 90mm. From a previous lifetime, I had chrome LTM lenses in 35mm, 50mm & 75mm. The only black lens in my inventory was a pristine Canon LTM 135/3.5.

Later I added black Konica lenses in 28mm & 35mm. I could finally outfit
Bigfoot & Bubba in all black. Unfortunately, using 28mm & 35mm lenses simultaneously proved a bit limiting. The 135mm didn't fit very well with 28mm or 35mm either.

Then along came a nice LTM 8.5cm/2.0 Nikkor-P.C. Chrome again. Bigfoot & Bubba were none too pleased.

At last, a fourth black lens wandered into my bag. A 90mm/2.8 Elmarit-M. The Boys were glad. At least one of them could be clad in matching black. 35mm-90mm wouldn't be too hard to make work either.

Today I can put together the following:

Black, Black, Black & Black
Black, Black, Black & Chrome
Black, Chrome, Black & Chrome

I still have one obvious problem: What color strap goes with each combination? If I'm out shooting and I change lenses, say from Black & Black to Black & Chrome, should I also change straps? OpTech makes quick release straps that are easy to change.

I told Y'all I was drinking Corsendonk Abbey Brown Ale.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I can't compete with the "Which one Leica lens only?" or "What 35mm Summicron lens to buy?" or "I've got two bags on the way in the mail. Which one should I keep?" threads!

Blue!!! Definitely blue.

Happy Thanksgiving Wayne.

Blue, eh? You might know. All of mine are black. Off to the camera shop to find a blue strap.

Will a blue strap go with a chrome & black 501cm body and black 80mm CFE lens?

What bag should I get?

It's really easy Wayne. Send me the Chrome 35mm and Nikkor 85mm LTM lenses. I am sure someone here will take the 50 and 75's off you. You will be left with an all black setup. A white strap would be perfect. :)

I really did not get that.

But, I do love the song in your signature. One of my all time favorites.

Thanks!

From the movie "Serial Mom". A real hoot. Rent it. Beverly is the serial mom played by Kathleen Turner.

[Juror #8 is talking on a payphone, when Beverly comes up behind her and grabs the phone from her]
Beverly Sutphin: You can't wear white after Labor Day!
Juror #8: That's not true anymore.
Beverly Sutphin: Yes it is! Didn't your mother tell you? Now you know.
[She whacks her in the face with the phone]
Juror #8: No! Please! Fashion has changed!
Beverly Sutphin: No... it hasn't.
[She hits her again]

I was taking pictures of a large empty section of a parking lot one day and the song was running through my head.

Oh! that movie. I watched it on HBO a couple of years back. The movie is nuts. :) The first time I watched Desperate Housewives I wished it was like Serial Mom.
