Alternatives to PrintFile neg sleeves

I really like the PrintFile sleeves for easy binder storage and visibility of 35mm negatives. However, I'm finding my negatives are getting consistently scratched by insertion/removal from the sleeves. I would prefer not to use hardening fixer or have to store the negs in a box. Have any of you come across a good sleeve that doesn't scratch your negs? The fine scratches never used to be a problem with a "real" darkroom, but since moving to a scanner, they are a real pain.

I have the same problem with these sleeves and I do in fact use a hardening fixer
I would be interested in a better solution as well

Kenro make looser, opaque sleeves. The material seems like waxed paper. The other good thing is that it is quicker to insert/remove negs. The downside is that it is more difficult to see the image on the negs when holding them up to a light &c.

I've been looking for something like this, but I have one question. I can't tell if this product actually keeps the strips separated from each other. Otherwise, it just seems they would fall any which way they can, and end up sliding on top and against each other, probably causing an even greater scratch problem.

Do these actually keep the neg strips separated from each other?

I just tried to buy them from Booksmart Studio - shipping charges are definitely a profit center here. It seems like these are 50 strips of 6 frames, i.e. you'd have to keep 6 strips in 6 separate sleeves together in another envelope or something to be able to identify and keep together a roll.
I'm going to try these because of the scratches I had.

Each neg strip goes in a separate sleeve. If you've ever used a pro developing place, they place put the negs into these sleeves.

These seem like a good solution, using a photo sleeve in a 3-ring binder to keep the rolls together. Thanks for the link.

Good ol' Savage Glassines! Supposedly not "archival", but my negs and their sleeves from as far back as 1961 are still just fine. Number the strips on your contact sheet to match the numbers you put on the sleeves. Glassines won't scratch your negatives.
