The only reason I know what the game conkers is from watching Top Gear, otherwise I have never heard of it before.

Aaah, those where the days. Fond memories, though I remember hating it at the time. Little snotty boys in uniforms, school playground, fights over rules, bloody noses, headmaster´s office, notes home to mum and dad.... I´ve a tree in my garden, my girls will be getting instructions next autumn.

Stewart,

Well done. Would love to see a few more before you declare a world champion, but none the less a world class idea.

Thanks.

Yes, some did. Didn´t work too well however. Dried conkers from last year won every time, but got quickly banned.

under the Lord Mornington rules it isn’t allowed anyway, no soaking and the original strap supplied with the camera

I assume that there will there be follow-on elimination rounds, and election of a champion conker.

I would place the sheer mass of the Contarex Bullseye up against any of these, including the leica sl

Would have thought the Canon A1 would have been a good contester for the title here. As long as it avoided taking a hit to the rear.

Anybody soak their conker in vinegar?

You can soak a caravan in vinegar?

did you catch the reliant-robin space shuttle? inspired TV

I watch Top Gear religiously, not only is it funny as hell and very creative, the photography done in it is great learning material.

Ok now im lost. I thought conkers was caravans and cranes...haha

Technique does come into it. Making sure that when its your turn, you swing the hardest part of your conker into the softest of the opponent. Stewart hasn´t stated who gets first swing, but I voted F-1 none the less.
