Hello my friends

as I have ( at least to my understanding ) a fine range of lenses... and strongly checking the opportinities for an M9 ( selling other stuff including my motorbike ), I wanted to know weatheranyone of you has experience ( and can show pictures colour/b&w ) from the M9 with following lenses:

2.8/21 BIOGON (ZEISS ZM)
1.2/35 NOKTON

As I have seen very nice images with the 1.5/50 Nokton and the 2.0/90 Summicron (pre ASPH ), I am mainly interested in the two lenses above ( my most loved ones )

my best regards

Achim

One of the advantages of the M system is the vast range of lenses. I would recommend to go for less numbers but Leica lenses.

I have those lenses - 21 and 35, but I dont have M9 (and dont plan to get one either), so I suppose my images from those lenses on film or RD1S wouldnt interest you. 😉

I dont think there is a Leica lens that draws like CV 35/1.2 or similar. As far as ZM 21 - unless you get a Summilux 21 - there is nothing in Leica line-up that can compete with the ZM 21/2.8 IMO. So, why go for just Leica lenses?😎😕

@Krosya

I am sure you pictures are great (saw already some of yours) but main interest is:
How do those two lenses perform on a full frame camera.
You know, there is much on the net about problems with wide angles and secondly my most loved lens, would it perform just as nice as with film ? (dont want to start a discussion if the nokton is better than the lux)
I saw some very nice results with the 2.8/21 with M8, but isn't the full frame we all dreamed of ???

hello ARI_1969,

I assume you intended full frame "digital"? 🙂 As such, you might check the filckr m-mount group for image samples of those lenses made mostly on full frame film cameras. If you are only interested in image samples made with the M9, I would check out the M9 group for a start.

Respectfully, Thomas
