I haven't posted them here regularly, but I thought I might start posting at least highlights if people are interested.

My PAD Project... "Picture-A-Day"... which I started back on July 8th, and since then I've only missed maybe two-three days. I didn't know what to expect when I first started and if I'd be able to keep it up. I didn't know if it would get tedious or boring, but I have to say, I'm really enjoying it!

Sure, there are days I don't get a great shot... there are days I don't want to do it and have to force myself out. However, for the most part, the majority of the time I'm glad to do it and find it is helping my photography overall. It's helping me to stay creative. It's sharpening my eye.

Here's a few from November and December... You're welcome to comment and give any feedback you iike. If you want to follow along you can follow me on Twitter or Facebook (see signature)... I enjoy getting all types of feedback!

I think it's good pictures, but to be honest it feels like I've seen all of them too many times - the trail track from this angle, the graveyard with the power plant, the birds on the power cable, the obligatory water shot with the poles.. so technically good images, just a little exhausted motives.

I like the idea of a PAD theme. I think I should consider adopting it to get me off my butt-end and go and take photos on a more regular basis.
So some of the subjects are familiar ones but the interpretation and execution are yours to be compared and contrasted with the attempts of others. Because lots of people have taken portraits it doesn't mean that we should stop taking any more or posting them. I find that there is something to be taken from all photos on this forum.
Please keep posting - I thought the flag 'made' the third photo.

Thanks all for looking and commenting.

Martin - well, I cant disagree or agree, I can just say they are what I "saw" on those days. Some are certainly more original or creative than others, but for me, when I take them, they feel like good ideas. If you don't agree, you're entitled to that opinion!

Jesse - Thanks... it's been a fun project to do and certainly challenging. The interesting by-product of this project is that I notice things more... there are object and landmarks in and around my town that I never notice before that were right in front of my face all these years, but I observe my surroundings a whole lot more when I'm looking for a photo to take! It also challenges me to explore ever little nook and cranny of my town and those in the general vicinity.

Thanks for the comment about the third photo. Though it wasn't for my PAD project I did take another photo of the same location... Maybe it's cliche to some people, but I've never seen a cemetery in the shadow of a nuclear power plant...

Respectfully disagree. They are all interesting, well composed pictures.
"exhausted motives" - everything these days is exhausted: people on the street, trees, cars, skyscrapers that is to a photographer to make them look interesting!

Mucho respecto for getting out there and taking photo's.

Believe me, with the weather in Blighty at minus zero and dark by 3pm, I have no time at the moment for taking pic's and would give my eyed teeth for just 30 minutes of shooting time.

Atmospheric and moody shots. Nice.

Thanks for looking!

lovely lighting there, zebra cemetery :)

Thanks Mark :)

35mm: Thanks... one of my favorites.

Arseniii: Thanks for your thoughts and comment. Finding "original" certainly is hard, especially now-a-days, though I try (the last think I expected to hear with the nuclear cemetery was that it's cliche!)... Of course, what's original to me and to someone else might be completely different depending on our exposure and experience. I can only shoot what I "see" and I know not everyone will like it, just like I don't like every photo I come look at.

Ming: While I don't have it as rough as that, I have struggled more with the change in the clocks and it now getting dark between 4 and 4:30 (especially since I work). Lots of days I have to go out on my lunch break to find my subjects! It hasn't been quite so cold here (and rarely gets that cold), but luckily I like the winter and have heated seats in my car! LOL

Thanks Umcelinho!
