I've just treated myself to a refurbished Olympus Trip 35 from www.tripman.co.uk. I was expecting it to come after Christmas, probably after the New Year, but it arrived this morning. I popped a roll of HP5+ in it and took it with me as I went about my pre-Christmas chores. Developed this afternoon (in Ilfosol 3 so not ideal) and scanned this evening I'm delighted with the results. It's everything it promised to be - pocketable, good lens, good exposure, simple to use.

Nice one. I like that phone booth photo.
The Trip has to be the most underrated camera out there. They are really good with slide film, too - though most people are afraid to try it.

I must admit, I have three trips. I got a black and a silver one for 15 Euros. They were supposed to be broken, but I could fix both. The black one is awaiting a lens calibration though. The third one is for spare parts. Strangely I do not use them very often, but the few pictures I took with one of these were tack sharp and well exposed. I like the battery less operation and the selenium meter. A nice and simple to to use camera.

Fine results there - fun cameras, aren't they? I've even had good results running Velvia 50 through mine. 'tis a shame mine wasn't entirely three-year-old proof.
Might well be time to buy another.

It's a nice little camera the Olympus Trip, I'm quite tempted to splash out now I'm aware of the tripman shop!

I just lost a newish looking one that was in the bottom of my knapsack.
I dropped knapsack on the ground and the Oly Trip took the brunt of the hit.
I still have a second beat up Oly Trip though.

I'm very pleased with mine: I went for the classic black leather and chrome look but the others look a lot racier.
It is possible to pick them up for a lot cheaper than the £50 for the Tripman ones, but it is nice to have them properly refurbished and pimped up

I bought one from the Tripman as well - works great and the recovering is fantastic. You can get all sorts of colours or "skins". Recoimmended by my experience
