Thanks Tom for that sound insightful advice. Very interesting story about Leica and their views on brassing!
I know this may sound funny, but I was after a camera that brassed up. I am not a collector (I only have one M) so I wanted a 'girlfriend' experience with my camera - one that showed up all those loving marks through brassing.
Of course it would make economic sense to get an upgrade with my current TTL, but I really wanted to get the camera that brassed from my fingers! I am an avid user and I figured if I upgraded to the MP or LHSA (with finder upgrade), then I would stick with that camera for life. The resulting brassing would be like mutual scar tissue of our future relationship^^
Thanks again - excellent advice and food for thought! I am now saving my pennies to get my dream M.
