Rather than upload. it's really worth putting your images on photobucket (or similar) - just copy the

Sorry not too sure whether I understand your question, so excuse me if this reply is not what you're looking for.
But when you hit "reply" there are 2 rows of "menu bars".
Run your "mouse arrow" over the second row and you'll see a "color" icon that looks like a landscape picture (you have to use your imagination", click it and embed your picture from your hard disk. If you have a URL, 3 buttons to the left of that one you can use instead.
Hope that answers your Q

Paul, you've got to be kidding. Bob won't ever be his uncle with such little detail. Penceler what you need to do is have your image uploaded to a site somewhere, photobucket, picasa or flickr. I only know flickr in detail. Above the picture in flickr is a row of icons and you click 'All sizes'. This give you two different references to the image off to the left and you copy the url in the lower of the two boxes. On RFF you click on the image icon in the panel above the text pane where I am typing now and paste the url into the new window that this calls up. Press OK and the url appears in the text pane between two square bracket IMG square brackets which, alternatively you could just type yourself and then paste the url between them. Hopefully that will give you a new male relative. My understanding is that images can be shown on RFF only if they are already on the www somewhere else, and that this is not an alternative strategy but the only one. It took me several posts and about 8 personal messages from one of the kind moderators for me to learn how to do this.

The key piece is to get a URL that points to the image on a server into your comment between the elements of an IMG tag.
Besides using Flickr, etc., you can use RFF's tools to post an image. RFF will generate a thumbnail. If you preview your post before you post it, the URL of the displayed thumbnail will point to the full-size image you uploaded to RFF. That URL will be displayed by RFF, where you can copy it. Also, most browsers will let you place the cursor over the image and right click to copy the URL.

THank you for compensating for my pathetic laziness... excuse: I was making dinner at the time.

I think some of the responses assumed you wanted to put up a gallery or post images for critique. If so, then probably Flickr or something like it is the right answer. However, if you just wanted to illustrate a point in a posting then there's another way.
Below the window where you type your message, there are some additional options. Sometimes you will have to look for the "Go Advanced" button to access them or they may be visible there already. The second panel down is headed "Attach Files" and there's a button which reads "Manage Attachments". Click that and another window opens where you can select (one at a time) up to three images to upload with your post. Observe the dimensional and size requirements given in this window otherwise the system may refuse to upload the images if they're too big. Given the normal screen resolution on computers it won't hurt to use a fair bit of jpeg compression to get the images down to the acceptable size but it's good to start with a copy that fits (say) a laptop screen and compress from there.

penceler, the post from leigh youdale is the one to help you out - i see you have started an earlier thread and have not been able to get your images into the posts. it is quite straight foward and you can preveiw your thread/post to check first. regards
I should clarify that the others are also gonna work, i am assuming you want to post pics from your computer to go with your previous thread - [the one that has an `apparantly' handsome person in it]
