Hi everone,

I have a question about my Minolta M-Rokkor 40mm f2 (CLE version):
I am planing to replace the focus tab on the Lens which a 3D-Printed one.
From the information I gathered during hours of research, the Summicron-C 40mm and the first version of the Minolta M-Rokkor 40mm (CL Version) are basically the same lens but the version I own, which was released with the Minolta CLE, differs a bit from its predecessors.
Not only are there different coatings but the construction of the helicoid and aperture-ring seem to be different as well.

There is a fantastic instruction video on how to disassemble the CL version of the lens by mikeno62 on youtube, but I could not find ANY footage on the CLE version of the lens.

Eventually I came across this thread on the forums in which the disassembly of the CLE Version is discussed and people are not recommending to open the lens by yourself because of its more complex structure compared to its predecessors. Also it seems to be very difficult to put it back together and align everything right.

I am a bit intimidated by the experience shared in this thread and want to plan the disassembly beforehand..

Could anyone by chance share a few photos or their experience of how the lenses inner life is build?
Especially on how to get to the focusing tab since thats how far I plan to take the lens apart.
Any tips and shared experience with working on the lens is much appreciated.

Thanks a lot 🙂
