Is there any known problems mounting the old Summicron 50mm DR on the M6 classic .72 ?
I appreciate any experiences you folks can relay.
Cheers

If the M6 different than the M7? Is there some reason the goggles won't work on an M6?You can mount the DR fine, but not with the goggle.
Folks throw bricks at the M5 in favor of the M6. The D.R. Summicron and goggles work perfectly on the M5. Sell your M6. Buy an M5. Use the change to make photographs.
That's strange. Since the lens itself sticks no further into the body then the newest Summcron (I have both lenses in front of me). However the inner lens barrel does extend maybe an 1/8" past the end of the barrel when set to the closest focusing position. On the M7 there is an inner flange/light baffle that protects prevents contact with the meter, that flange has a larger diameter than the inner lens barrel of the DR. Are the classic M6's different? I can't take a picture with a digital camera but it would be interesting to see some photos of camera / lens box to see the difference. My former DR Summicron (with and without eyes) could NOT be mounted on my former M6 (classic) due to the shape of the light baffle near the meter sensor.
I sold my M5😱 6 months ago and wish I still had it.
This is strange i have a M6 classic and just got a DR with eyes last week (still waiting on the test roll). No issues at all. Works perfectly. I thought the issue with the DR was limited to the M6 TTL and above?
