Roger's comment was more sarcasm, and easy to spot. It was also understated. I would not label it as passive-agressive, not Roger's style. It has nothing to do whether I agree with him or not. Your statement was simply rude.
Myself, I have used Digital cameras much longer than either one of you. At least I tried to comment to the OP's topic with some perspective. Perhaps I'll do a side-by-side comparison of the DCS200 with the M8. The DCS is monochrome-Infrared, so it will be an apples-to-oranges comparison. That is sarcasm.

Okay, then the comment was a personal attack aimed at Roger.
In my opinion, it was unnecessary and rude.
I would state, that in my opinion, a lot of assholes frequent this forum and love to piss people off.

FACT: The word "ASSHOLE" does not get *******'d out!
How cool is that.
How cool is that.
FACT: I'm an asshole who frequents this forum an no longer cares if I piss the other assholes off.
In my opinion, I pride myself on it.

I hope Leica reads this, see what they did.
poll:
-I'm an asshole and I love the m8
-I'm an asshole and I hate it
-I'm a great guy and etc. etc.
Just trying to get this thread going again, yes I'm an asshole too...

By the way, on a serious note: interesting stuff, Brian. You're right: I only started using digital camera's in 2004. This is why al this digital stuff makes me a bit nervous (very expensive stuff that becomes obsolete in a few years, that's why one should use use use it), and an old m2 makes me very calm: it's the same 'modern' camera it was in '63. The m8 was the first digital camera that made me less nervous (very nervous when I had to spend the money of course - but I never saw it as an investment, I never believed it would hold it's value) - of course no comparison to the m2 in that respect.
The thing with digitalcamera-flaws is: you want them to be gone in the next model. With the m2 I accept them (from many people's point of view that is an elitist camera: no lightmeter, slow rewind, uses film).
