My 3 year old daughter's question on seeing my new GW690II:

Wait until she's five: "How come Daddy have a lot of cameras, and I only have my Tazmanian Devil Polaroid?"

when I got my G690BL...

when I got my G690BL...

My girlfriend said "that thing is ridiculous. what do you plan to do with it?!"
She called it both egregious and ostentatious.

other questions have been:
"how many cameras do you need?" <-- Re: 2nd R-D1
"how many cameras do you own?" <-- Re: updating for insurance after M8
"why do you think you need an old Nikon film camera when you have a perfectly good Leica digital?" <-- Re: Nikon RF lust

All good and perfectly normal questions. Have you ever asked her the same things about the shoes or purses she has?

Of course, I don't know how much you like her; maybe better left unasked? I doubt I would ask my wife of 30+ years that! :D :D

When I first saw her shoe collection I thought "this is absolutely NEVER going to work." 4 years later, it still works, though we don't live together yet. I really can't be too harsh with regard to shoes either; I've got 2 pairs of cycling shoes that I use for racing and they each cost $300.

It's a lot harder sneaking in a medium format into the small collection of cameras I use. They're big & obvious. When I make the move from an M8 to an M9, I doubt she'll ever notice ;)
