I have put already this topic in APUG, but I haven't got an answer yet. Here, I see that there are a few Dutch fellows.
Thus,
Does anybody know if there is any dedicated bookstore for photography in Amsterdam or at least a good bookstore with a wide range of photo books? (I know only this in the FOAM)
Otherwise, in The Hague?
Apart from that, is there any good second-hand camera shop?
dank u wel!

Hi, that'd be my department
While Amsterdam has several bookstores, I personally find it often difficult to find good photobooks. But that also depends what you already have or not and on the type of photography books you appreciate.
That being said here are a few I'd recommend where you can find some (decent) selection of photography books:
- Foam: indeed good selection of books and publications
- Mendo: a classy shop in "9 straatjes". Limited but good selection of photo and design books. Dedicated to these topics. Website.
- Scheltema: on Koningsplein - has good selection of photobooks and a discount section for these too. Worth to check it out.
- Athenaeum: on Spui. General bookshop but has recently become my favorite for photography. Very good and smart selection of books, by my taste. Very highly recommended. Almost around the corner from Scheltema above so you can check them both.
- A shop the name I forgot of: on Staalstraat (I believe?) near Waterlooplein fleamarket. You'll notice it as it's a small place with arts and photography books. Decent
- American Book Center: on Spui again. Big store with photography section. Love that shop but haven't bought any photobooks recently because they don't often update that section, and whoever stocks those books has no taste
These are just a few that I frequent. There are tons of other shops spread all across the city.
Happy shopping!

The shop on the Staalstraat is www.nijhoflee.nl. Other nice store www.premsela.nl and if you go there you might as well give www.hetmartyrium.nl a shot.
Athenaeum has indeed a small, but very tasteful selection. Agree on American Bookstore, not my cup of tea as well.
Have fun.

Guys thanx for the moment. Very direct response!!
The books I look for are actually monographs of several photographers (i.e. davidson, callahan, eggleston, etc, etc,) and their projects, not about photography in general or techniques.

Yeah, those are the types we're talking about too. I'm not interested in photography technique teaching books.
Peter - thanks for reminding me about Vanbarleestraat. Will have to check those two stores out.
