rolleiflex repair

Never had a "T" model, but it should be just like other Rolleis - have to take front plate off (need to take leather covering off for that) and align some gears. This is assuming nothing is broken. Good luck!
 
The numbers are printed on 'tape' that often breaks. There may not be a simple fix. The best idea might be to contact an experienced professional repair person for an opinion.

I had a CLA done by Jurgen Kuschnik in Frankfurt, and he did a fantastic job. My 2.8C is such a beautiful camera that I just couldn't bring myself to try anything DIY - get it done by a professional! If Gérard does retire or for those of us for whom Frankfurt is more convenient check:

I agree with Rob, Jürgen Kuschnik is a safe bet, highly recommendable. Communication with him is very quick and nice, and turnaround was one week, as promised. He will give you an estimate of the costs before he starts working on your camera, very transparent.

jürgen kuschnik is definately the man for rolleiflex repairs in europe. There's nothing he can't repair on rolleiflexes, on top of that he's a very nice guy. He brought back my automat IV from the grave and it now performs flawless.

Harry is also installing a Maxwell screen in addition to a shutter and film advance overhauls.

I was lucky to find a clean 3.5F that was a "Whiteface," but in the first week it experienced intermitant jamming. Seems like my camera sat around unused for a long time.

I have 52 rolls of tri-x 320-220 in the frig. You might say I'm anxious.

Slightly off topic, but I just sent my Rollei for a CLA to Brian Mickelboro in the UK. He not only made my camera work beautifully again, but also told me that it hadn't needed a full service, only took half an hour, and that he would only charge me £20.

It's not often you get service like that any more! Highly recommended.
 
Unfortunately, you have discovered the Achilles heel of the Rolleiflex T design. The aperture and speed numbers are printed on a thin band of paper or plastic! Here's a link to how Rick Oleson managed to fix it, but it isn't for the faint of heart.
