Is it possible to have the M4 accessory shoe converted to a hot shoe?
If so, how much does this repair run if done by someone like DAG?

good question, I know the M4 has 2 sync plugs on the back and I guess one is for the flash, but I've no idea what the other one is for.Is it possible to have the M4 accessory shoe converted to a hot shoe?

Don't know the price, but yes the shoe can be converted to a hot shoe.

Yes, the late Marty Forscher did it on a friend´s M3. Will probably run you $150.
Personally I don´t recommend it it's the weakest link in any M4-2, M6, M7, ... camera.

I use an inexpensive adapter on my M3 (earlier on an M2). It slides into the (cold) accessory shoe and provides a hot shot at the top with a sync lead.
