Beautiful pictures everyone - there's just something so lovely,calming (usually) and graceful about trees in all their various sizes and forms!
 
leepyhead, those are some well-pruned trees in the top photo. What is the significance of the baby pacifier tree?

Hi, here in Denmark (and I think in other Nordic countries as well), there is a tradition of children hanging their pacifiers up on a special tree (a "suttetrae" in Danish) when they are ready to give up using them. Sometimes the kids also hang up a note on the tree, essentially saying thanks and goodbye to the pacifiers.

These trees are not very common, I only know of one in Roskilde where I live, a town of 100,000 people. But I suppose there are a few others in Roskilde that i don't know about.
 
Thank you, Yaron. My paternal grandmother's parents came over from the island of Bornholm in the late 1800s. I think her mother was a Pedersen (Peterson?). The family, I understand, has owned a general store there for hundreds of years ...
