Brian Sweeney is well known at RFF for lens and camera adaptations as well as DIYS camera gear fixes.

In this new Mentor's forum he can share his Mad Gearhead Scientist plans to rule the camera world in one place, as well as field RFF member's questions.

Screwdrivers and spanners look like tools, but they are actually an adventure waiting to happen! Have Fun!

Stephen

congratulations!! Very much deserved.

Not only is he a genius, but he's a great, respectful, and considerate person to do business with!

YOU LUCKY DOG YOU!!!!!!!!!!! BRIAN! YOU ARE INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and not a bad photographer either...........
KIEVMAN.................. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

P.S Can you sell me a cla'd kiev 50 1.5 for cheap?

Thanks all.

I'll be adding more projects to the forum, have accumulated several 50mm LTM focus mounts, and some Contax/Kiev mounts.

I also invite RFF members to post their projects on the forum as well. There have been a lot of interesting ones on RFF over the years, including monocle lenses, close-focus mod for the Nikkor in LTM, and other "special modification" projects.

I'm thinking collapsible I61L/D in Contax Mount should be next.

Very welcome news, Brian. I was pleased when you returned to RFF after your sabbatical and I'm even more pleased that you are willing to host this new forum and share your experience with us this way. Thank you! :)

Now we can really pester you.

Not pestering at all. The questions are interesting, and are often the stimulation to try something new and different. The "Mad Gearhead Scientist" Forum is a good place to post questions, and "attention to".

I need to do another "Leica Diana".

Well I don`t understand any of this techy stuff :) but always read your posts Brian and love the look of the old glass so ,all the best.

I may have to use again the CZJ 50/2 with a J-8 rear glass, done by Brian!
These hybrid monster lenses can perform well.

Great idea Bartender!

Congrats Brian. Thank you in advance for all the time and effort your contribution to our knowledge will take :)

Wow! What a great idea, Stephen!

That's so kind of you, Brian! You're unique in your field, and all of us are constantly amazed at all the things you do!

As always, RFforum is THE forum!

This will be a lot of fun, and very interesting too...

Cheers,

Juan
