Can anyone suggest a suitable strap for a Xpan? I was going to get a Domke gripper but the lugs look a little different from the ones on my nikons.

How about a genuine xpan stap, actually works better than looks would suggest, and the neat thing about it, doesn`t have the camera brand written
in huge bright letters on it (nikon, canon) to suggest you might be keen on photography:rolleyes: ......but really, any of my nikon fm2n,d200, bronica etrsi, rf645 straps fit with no probs, so I`m guessing most other brands, generic or genuine, would also probably fit.:)

Any strap that terminates in a thin ribbon. A Domke gripper strap, a Tamrac strap will both work. I've been using one of those straps that has a neck/shoulder pad with an elastic springiness. Regretfully I can't think of the maker's name, but perhaps you will recognize it by that description. It is claimed to make the camera feel less heavy.

based on that description, mine is Matin..and yes it make the camera feel less heavy :)

OP/Tech. That's what it is. The large area of the neck pad helps to relieve the extra weight of the XPAN. However it is not strictly necessary, as the XPAN is not really that heavy compared to many DSLR cameras! A Domke or Tamrac will also do nicely.

Thanks people. The optech is a little bulky for this camera (i have one with the wide strap for my DSLR). I went and boughtb a domke gripper 1". Should get it soon.
