Hello I am just about to jump on either Bronica RF645, Mamiya 6 (6MF) or Mamiya 7 (7II) and I would love to see some wide open shots made at closer distance that show a bit of character of the lenses (portraits, architecture, etc.) through out the whole range of focal lengths.

So, would you be so kind to share a few ... :)

Mamiya 7II, 80/4 all wide open, just remember f4 is still f4, if you want closer focusing and shallower DOF you might consider an SLR.

thank you - some really nice photos. Yes I do realize that MF RF cameras are not the first choice for shallow DOF (Contax 645 + 80/2 is probably hard to beat for portraits), but your samples clearly show that subject can still be nicely separated form the background especially for close focusing distances.

Of course I would gladly see more :)

Here are some shot with the Bronica RF645 and Zenzanon 65mm f4.
All shot on Neopan 400, last one pushed to 1600.

edit - last one might actually be the 45 at f4.0 because I can't imagine having had the distance to get that all in (I should start taking better notes)..

I often use f4,0 setting on the lens, but usually it is night images and not very close focus. If you want to do macro and headshots, then I would suggest the excellent Contax 645 with the 80mm f2,0 lens. If you want a compact and relatively light medium format camera for a variety of image choices, then I would highly recommend the Bronica RF645.
