Looking for a screwmount to M mount adapter and don't want to spend $50+ on a CV or Leica one.
Which of the cheap ones on Ebay or elsewhere are functional? Going to attach it to the lens and leave it on forever, I just want it to work (correct frame lines and focusing). Would prefer a US seller rather than one of the ones from Hong Kong or China just the interest of speed.
If anyone has one they want to sell, PM me. Rather buy from here than eBay.
Thanks.

i find the shipping from china to be faster then from the states, and often it's free.
but if you want a u.s. based company try heavystar on ebay.

Hi, first bought some brass ones then some inox/stainless steel with lens classification engraved on.
This ones fit perfectly on all film cameras, but on the m8 they don´t stick precisely, nevertheless it´s not a problem.
Stainless steel adapters look better, cleaner than just brass ones.

Where did you get the stainless steel from?

Probably not stainless steel.
Probably not stainless steel.
I think he is mistaking chrome covered brass for stainless steel. I wouldn't want to use stainless steel on my M body lens mount.

Framelines and focusing are the problems with the cheap ones. Frameline is no problem with the 35mm rings (since no activation is needed), focusing is no problem with the 50mm ring since any thickness error is transferred to the focusing 1:1 and automatically compensated. The scale might be off though.
I have a generic stainless steel (yes!) from China which is for 35mm and a 50mm from heavystar. The frameline activator is a bit off on the heavystar (compared to my Elmar) and the 35mm does not lock properly.
