That is twice what I paid for my lens. And I found a Canon lens case for $1 at a camera show. Fits perfectly, not marked 50/0.95, just marked "Canon".
 
I don't think a collector (alas I am one) would pay that for a case but a guy who has forked out $2K to $3K for a 0.95 lens and want to protect that lens... may. $504 and even I am staggered ...whew. Peter

Crazy prices, (pushed up by collectors) ~ shouldn't be over $800 for the 7 flange version and if it's converted to M Leica about $1,200 to $1,500, people who pay over $2k for one are nutty....I can push the Canon f1.2/50 in the same direction and it renders just as beautiful 🙂

I wish those prices were so Tom! But unfortunately it will take a good bit of luck to get a good lens in those price ranges. But $3200 does seem silly when a patient person can get a Noctilux for around $4000....

I don't think collectors can take a hit this time 🙂 in pushing up the prices of some LTM lenses. But being a collector I am seriously contemplating moving one of the four I own but as usual will probably not :bang: as it would break up my collection which is depicted in the back of my book 😀. This time it is the digital users who are after a fast lens and somewhere in cyber space a group or someone has pushed the "bokeh" of the .095 lens for what it may be or is. There has been a distinct drop in the value of RF bodies of any ilk and quite a number are appearing on auctions and dealers sites without lenses.🙁 Peter

Yeah, Peter....I wouldn't sell anything either, another thing is I've always thought that the 0.95 belongs on a Canon, that's what they were made for , 7/7S/7SZ and all these cutting up/butcher jobs, really no one's got the conversion 100% pristine and perfectly finished, (the kindey holes are ALWAYS open in all of the converts I've seen) and well the more lenses they cut up the MORE valuabe the Canon equipment should become someday?

I remember when I first talked to you about these, that's where the prices were sitting, the NON SHOOTERS with filled pockets drove this lens crazy sky high, they will come down again, just like everything does (the IIIC K market last year was bad for example, they are now, climbing again in price) so it's really up to LUCK I think with finding one of these.

I'd like someday a nice really late 1960's Canon 7SZ with a "Dream Lens" on it, (I'm sure I can find one like that for UNDER $2K ~ untill then I'll just push on with my "Japanese Nocilux Killer" f1.2 LOL!!!!!!)

7SZ/F0.95/50 the perfect low-light combo, just put in film and shoot....forget all this cutting and botching up a perfectly good Canon lens for digtial use.....the "Dream" still looks best in Film in my personal opinion 🙂
