please help this old duffer... I have a few pics stored on flickr, and visit them occasionaly to show on other sites. I used to put
around the URL - click copy, and I could then paste the picture staight into RFF or elseware. They seem to have altered the layout! and now when I do this - I just get a URL and no d*mn picture coming up here!:bang:

Click on the button Share this, which is over the picture. Then "Grab the link". In there, there is a jpg URL. Copy, paste.

Click on 'Share this' -> 'Grab the HTML' -> choose size, and HTML or BBCode as desired -> copy and paste.

The new Beta version has a few idiosyncrasies, one is not putting up the URL for the image. I have a Mac, so I´m not afflicted really. One of the options on the mouse right click menu is copy source address, so I can copy the URL from the image. On a PC you need to access the properties pop-up and copy the address from there. That´s of course after you´ve clicked your way out of the slide viewer (all sixes button upper right, then choose size)

If you can right click over the image, use "Copy Image Location". It will be the JPG ending on the copied URL. On a PC... simple... one right click over the image and choose Copy Image Location... Done!
Than you can just click on the "Add Image" Icon and Paste the URL that you just copied DONE !!... some sites require "IMG" brackets as you mentioned, some don't.

Though changes are often awkward, I am finding that I prefer this new layout at flickr to the older one by a long shot. I hope that flickr continues to tweak and to try to improve!

I had the same problem. Photobucket is much easier to use now than Flickr; I switched.

I don't use the Share button. I right-click on the image to get the size options and select one of the sizes (it doesn't matter which one). This puts me at the All Available Sizes screen. From there, you can view the various sizes (from 75x75 square to original size). When I find the size I want, I right-click and select 'Copy Image Location' and paste that into the IMG tags here. Too many folks post huge images in threads that require horizontal scrolling (no good). You can also download the various sizes from the same screen.

I've found none of the recommended Flickr methods work reliably for all Forums, and any of the methods already mentioned above only work with some Forums as well.
I'll stick my head on the block and say the only method I've found to reliably link images from the new Flickr regime to all Forums via the URL is to go to the image, right click and find 'Properties' and copy and paste the location from there.

But thats really complicated in my eyes. Look at post #4. In the dialogue you have a list box where you can choose the right resolution and the code in the box adjusts automatically. Then you only have to copy the code. For me that's really easy.
