My first thought too. I think many of the older SLR were brass, especially the black ones. My Fujicas are, not so sure about some of the old Yashica TLs or Pentax SVs.
But if the OP was asking about original brass finishes, I think (besides NathanJD's example), there may have been a couple, but I don't recall for sure.
Would think that by the SLR era, top & bottom covers / plates (stamped sheet metal trim) were brass, but the bodies themselves were some sort of casting (aluminum or die-cast zinc alloy).
Not certain about late metal-clad cameras, such as the Canon AE-1 Program, but believe the trimmings would have been brass until the switch to plastic / carbon fiber bodies/casings.
The answers that have been given thus far, are they the sort of thing you were after? Or maybe you have seen camera showing brass and wondered if it had been painted over - perhaps!?
