Trying to compare focusing between my Leica CL and my Leica M2, using the same lenses and I mentioned that based to the distance scale, there is a difference in focusing between two cameras.
Is this normal or a problem in operation of the cameras- probably the CL?

In my opinion this means with certainty that (at least) one of the cameras is out of alignment. Focusing the same object from the same spot, the distance scale should read the same value.
Which lens are you using? Are you keeping in mind that the M2 can focus down to 0.7m and the CL only to .8m?
To be certain, make test pictures (you can rewind the film and use one roll of film for checking both bodies).

when I focus using my GSN, the distance is off by atleast 2-3 feet. My M4 with CV 35/2.5 shows the distance very accurately. I think it might be one of the cameras since you are using the same lens. Which one is showing accurate distance?
