Bricks from Vistek in Toronto, and bulk cans from Freestyle or digitaltruth.com. All have to come by mail.

Well, once again a survey with incomplete options.

I buy film by the case. Often 100 rolls at a time.

I buy bulk rolls of B&W silver-based films including ilford XP2 which I develop in rodinal. C-41 films I try to get in 5-packs or similar. I don't remember buying a single roll of any film.

I just picked up a 5-pack of Kodak Pro Image 100....for about 8.00 usd here in Bangkok....I either by that or the Fuji ProPlusII 100 for the same price.....They have lots of choices here in Bangkok, but I can get 3 or 4 rolls of this kind of film for the price of one roll of Fugi NPS 160 or something similiar........I am happy with the Pro Image and ProPlus as far as color films go....but I always use tri-x for more work/project related stuff....I tend to buy that in 20 packs.....

cheers, michael

Only by mail.

Ditto here Bob (with the exception of K64 when it was available, I bought it locally for a competitive price). Now, Freestyle all the time -- slide or B+W film. Even with shipping et cetera to Canuck-tax-you-deeply-and-painfully-land it is a considerable savings than to buying locally.

B&W bricks and cans from Freestyle. When NP1600 was discontinued I bought a lot of cans from Japan through Dirk Rosler. Now I have a stack of it. 🙂

This was me, in response to a claim that the base thicknesses are different for ACROS and Legacy Pro:

...If I get a chance this weekend, I'll measure the base thicknesses with a micrometer.

Well , this took a bit longer than I'd hoped. All measurements are +/- ~2 µm.

TMAX400-2 143 µm
Neopan 1600 133 µm
Neopan ACROS 132 µm
Legacy Pro 100 133 µm

Conclusion: within my ability to measure them, there is no difference between the base thicknesses of ACROS and LP100.
