What can cause this?

Just got another roll back from my local store. They pointed something out that I had not noticed before. Around the perimeter of the image, there is bleed-over. I have no idea what could cause this. There is one other image on this roll that has the exact same pattern around the perimeter.
I am thinking of shooting a roll and recording the aperture and shutter speeds to see if it is caused by that.

What kind of camera were you using?

This usually means a processing problem; agitation or chemistry.

Had the film expired?

I'm using an M6. The film as far as I know was not expired. Purchased a week or two prior to use.

Exposure. Light is bleeding around the film gate. You have overexposed this frame. The frame next to it has less exposure and so does not show this. This is not a processing mark.

I looks to me as if it could be light bleed at the edges of the frame - possibly because the film is not being held flat against the gate inside the camera. I've got film in my M6 so I can't quickly look but the sealing of the film against the edges of the chamber and the adjustment of the pressure plate is where I'd first check.

That thought had crossed my mind, although only two frames from this roll exhibit this. (the film no laying flat) A CLA had just been completed on my M6 6 rolls ago. None of the previous rolls show the bleeding over the edges.

I'm inclined to think it might be overexposure. Will know more after a bit. In the process of scanning the film now as I write this.

In looking at the scans, I would say it is a chemical issue. Blue streaks across several frames. Grrr, time to seek another processor.

Or so I thought. Sent a message to DAG and he said the light shields need replacing. Older M6's had different light shields that can leak in some instances. Not all of them do, but alas mine is one that does. Makes sense to me, as not all the images on this roll are affected by the streaking. If it were chemical process, then it should affect all the images equally.

Sigh, it will be tough to be without the camera again.
