After a distressed life in a French photo-storehouse my recently bought Retina IIIc (with one-range exposure meter) came alive again with a Kodakcolor 200 film, and it didn't disappoint me at all!
Exposure, focussing, sharpness and color all seems to be OK. Look for yourself!

Regards, Brichma

Tom,

My Retina IIIc has the Schneider-Kreuznach Retina-Xenon
C 1:2,0/50 mm lens, nr. 5249782. I think it's a real beauty!

I think it's a real beauty!

It really is. If you want it to perform even better (ever so slightly, but in some situations you'll really notice the difference), consistently use a lens hood. Maybe you already do... I don't know.

I think you're right. I'm looking for one right now... Which means the square one with the bajonet -Brichma

They come up on ebay fairly frequently and tend to be rather affordable. I have one that is mounts loose on the camera, and a better one (Old Stock NIB) that I bought on ebay. The better one got lost in a drawer somehow. I keep searching but haven't been able to find it for quite a while. Boo hoo.

My Retina Ib has the same lens. It is very sharp, and the camera can take a beating. Mine was soaked three times in a river.

Brichma,
I have a IIa that uses that lens! I last used the camera around the year 2000 when I took it to the U.K. on a trip! I sure like the camera despite some of the quirks that are built into it!
