Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

Nothing much re. photography here this weekend, but I'd like to let you guys know I like the meteorological additions in posts. Unexpected warm days over the weekend, but nights already downright cold. Might take a camera to a large flea market here in town tomorrow. Tmax400 @ 1600 and push two stops.

I shot two rolls of Kodak E100G in very demanding light conditions. I don't expect any masterpieces out of these rolls. I wonder if I'd better develop the rolls at home with my C41 kit instead of sending them to a E6 lab...

"Mist and mellow fruitfulness."

Nice line, Michael.
The highs this next week will be back into the low 90s starting Monday, but the days are short enough now that it does not seem so oppressive ...

Lovely day today. The death grip of the East Texas summer has relaxed a bit.
today is the Annual Labor Day Antique Car Show just up the road in Winnsboro. In honor of the antique autos, I loaded my 1975 Canon EF with a roll of Kodachrome 64 and attached a pristine Canon FD 24/2.8 lens. It was wonderful. ran through the roll in a couple hours. Magic! Results in a fortnight or less when the slides return from Dwayne's.

We drove along the white beaches all the way to the city/town of Mary Esther where we had a big dinner at a Turkish restaurant. I did not take any photos, but I enjoyed the view of the beautiful sea oats and emerald green water with sugar white beaches on both sides of the road. Tomorrow ... may be my photography day.

Well ,you can thank John Keats (1795-1821) for that.

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness !
Close bosom -friend of the maturing sun
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that `round the thatch- eaves run.

A bit of inspiration for the weekend.
I have the 90 Elmarit in the bag and the new to me 1947 Canon 135 Serenar.

This is a "touchy weekend" for many people.
We have the September 11 remembrance, the Islamic Eid el-Fitr coinciding [from today on], and then the bigotry of the planned Koran burning "ceremonies".

Photography plans?

For myself, it will be my family and whatever/whoever comes in front of my lens.

What will you be doing?

I'm going to a "Bugfest" street festival sponsored by a local museum. Should have lots of creepy crawlers and such.

And, Happy Eid to all who observe (and even if you don't).

On a break right now. Gotta work until 8:30 or so tonight, then all say Saturday. My oldest son and his wife have asked me to photograph them, perhaps on Sunday if the light is good and time allows. They are expecting their first child in a month or so. It is sweet that they want pre-natal photos to show their son some day. And - be still my heart - they want to be photographed in black and white ...

Er 23.38 right now.
Just got back from dropping off three ladies and their horses for a fun weelend in Cheshire.
Took a few shots this afternoon in the town of Congleton.
Tomorrow prob nothing but will be going back Sunday to pick them up so may get a few shots then.

Going to Fort Vechten, for the "Fort full of Soldiers" event. Just me and my Speed Graphic, Leica I and possibly my Epson R-D1.

I'll be going dressed as a WW2 Signal Photo Company man.

I was without any plans (one cannot plan anything when waiting for the birth of a child) but as I headed for the city center this morning I grabbed my OM4 with the 85/2 mounted - there was a nice autumn fog near the river so I ended up shooting bridges, fishermen and swans in the fog.. The negatives are taking their bath now, we shall see what we shall see... :)

Looking forward to seeing what you shot. And, congratulations in advance!

Weather is lovely here in Gotham at the moment, but I have assorted work to do. I will be going to a Bike Jumble taking place right here in Park Slope tomorrow, and I'll likely have the little Contax with me for the festivities.
