Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

There's an old joke about two old geezers in Rochester (NY).

"Whatcha gunna do this summer?"

"Well, I don't know but if it falls on a Sunday I'm goin' fishin'."

Around here we sometimes get 100" of annual rainfall. If it is not raining tomorrow I am going out with a camera and embarrass myself some more. If it's raining I'll be seeing what you folks are doing by reading about it on RFF.

I am going through my old photographic magazines at home - I am going to take with me the years 1990-1992 of Φωτογράφος magazines.

The rest are staying behind for the time being. Hopefully later on tomorrow I will try to sort out the practical photography issues - I don't know if I will have enough luggage space to take any more.

Make a few trips??

Somewhere in the depths of the internet, I read a comment by someone who said that he visited the house he grew up in. It was being sold, open for inspection after many years. On a whim, he looked in his old bedroom, and found the ceiling cavity access panel in the wardrobe. He boosted himself up and found his old stash of adult magazines that he forgot/didn't take with him when his family moved out! The story ended there, which was aggravating, because I wish he had said he took at least one of them. Heck, I would have been brazen enough to take them back and walk out with them, saying they were his old mags from when he lived there as a teenager. 😂

My room is pretty much sealed since 2006 when I left. No adult magazines but I found quite a few 1980s-1990s memorabilia though.

It's a 3 day weekend here in Japan and the weather has been unseasonably warm.
I, like many other people, have been out and about walking the streets of Yokohama!

It is Friday again! Rain will stop by 2pm today here in Pensacola. What will I do this weekend? I will be at the Pensacola Farmer's Market on Palafox street. I am not sure how safe it is to be in crowds with Leica equipment.

What is in your wallet .... ooops ....what will you be up to?

Well it's almost March and the Porschephiles are meeting for their annual gathering at LAX for the Lit show tomorrow, so the local area shops are having open houses for the faithful to come look and see what they're working on and how the do what they do today. I'll be going to a couple of shops so shoot pics for the poor souls that couldn't make it out west to see all there is to see and enjoy our really really nice weather. It's supposed to be mid-to-hi-eighties today.

Here's a shot I got yesterday before the busload of visitors arrived.

Kind of ironic to see a giant US flag above a bunch of German hardware 😉

Today is sunny and in the 50's. Tomorrow could be cold and rainy. It's the PNW. If it is not to bad I will swing by the musicians in the local Fisher Poets show at a local saloon and grab some shots.

I spent most of my weekend trying to clean and fix this little rangefinder, given to me during one of the Christmas giveaway threads before the pandemic.

Had some fungus on the lens, viewfinder was dirty and shutter button was impossible to press.

The lens was relatively easy to take apart and cleaned nicely. So did the viewfinder, the shutter button had come out of position.

Cleaning, wiping and everything looks good to go now.
