unfortunately for me its sitting in a box on a shelf at the moment... im giving my Summicrons all the light at the moment trying to decide which one i'm going to keep... first or latest version. only because i feel i NEED a 35mm already... someone swap me one please ? 😀

Lem, I have the Leica Wollensak with me almost all of the time, on the Nicca. But I can't shoot anything lately, and the roll is just past its 12th exposure mark. Are there just two of us here (on the planet?) who still use this lens? 😀

Found 2 Leitz-Wollensak Velostigmat shots:

Both on Luckypan 100 film, developed in paRodinal.

But 'unfortunately' the lens wasn't attached on a Leica... it was on a 1937 FED-1 and a Zorki-1! ...An American copy lens on Soviet copy bodies.😉

Hi zorkikat,

the lens that Lem owned is with me now. I'm happy as a pig in mud with it.

Took it out to shoot in Dutch cities Groningen and Zwolle last week, using both my M3 and my IIIa-sync with it, and RolleiRetro 400.

I hope to post shots here soon. Hopefully my shots with the lens will live up to Lem's, because I always found his shots with it very inspiring!

Nice of you to say Lem,

although I gotta confess I do not shoot it enough. However, I did not shoot any lens enough those last couple of months. Work is keeping me tied up in a terrible manner...


But, I'm loving it and have bought company for it:

• a Leitz N.Y. LTM body cap
• a Leitz N.Y. orange filter
• a Leitz N.Y. lens hood, marked Elmar 50mm, so probably pre-war.

I really hope to shoot it more over summer, when things have calmed down a bit and I will have a chance to visit some cities to shoot.
