Hasta siempre Marcelino ...

Nice set of pictures.
Unfortunatelly , as the saying goes "if you want to keep your friends never talk about politics, religion and the zone system."
El sindicalismo en Espana "es un tema muy controvertido que levanta muchas ampollas" y que no es apropiado para este foro.

Very good coverage of an important event. Keep them coming.

By the way, it appears to be some vigneting. Is the the summilux on the M8
or have you added on purpose on postprocessing?

Best,
Pau

@rlouzan. Please respect english language here. It is the only language all members know well. You say: "It is not appropiated to show pictures of spanish trade-unions-movement here." I can't understand why covering a important, historical event could not take place here. And as I know, trade-unions are protected by the spanish constitution as they are in all democratic countries I know. Most of my best friends are trade-union-members. So am I. And I can tell you for sure, we are not eating little childs. And for sure, I think here we have liberty of speech and of photos, if it does not violate the civic rights, human rights or the good manners.

@Pau: About tecnics: I've added the dark corners on LR. It is not fruit of the Summilux.

Hi,

RFF ia a photography forum, not a political forum. In the past we had Pitxou promote the independence of the Basque country. What is next?

Actually, what he says in Spanish is that
"the trade-union movement is Spain is a very controversial subject that raises a lot of blisters and is not appropriate for this forum"

Interpret that as you like. I think he is just asking that the thread not become political because that NEVER ends well.

Images of important historical events, such as the ones posted, are fine it seems to me. But political jockeying is not.

For me it is not a political thread. It is a social one. I insist. Trade-unions are legal and protected by the constitution of all democratic countries, even in Spain. I covered athe event a profesional photographer. I think I have the right to show my work here. I don't want to discuss about politics. I only show pics from an historical moment in an european country. I am a photographer who likes to be where things are happening, where history goes its way. But if you wish to see here only photos from kids, flowers , lanscape, cars and animals and I am violating with my work the rules of RFF, I ask Steven to ban me.

THank You!

Nice shots. They convey the spirit of the day, to say the least.

Politics? Who wants to talk politics when you can talk photography?:D

I don't have an opinion about the politics of Spain and, if I did, I would not share it here. However, I do have an opinion about the images. They're great, as is your coverage of the event. I hope you'll keep posting. The reportage is important regardless of whether one takes a side in the issue or not. And, you have served that mission well.

What came next was an IKEA ad promoting "your private home republic"...:)

Perhaps pictures of the last general strike:

*so-called "piquetes informativos" threatening shopkeepers/employees.

*people throwing eggs inside clothing stores.

*smashed storefronts.

*clashes with police.

*sabotaged ambulances.

*cars set ablaze.

*traffic cuts.

*burnt ATM machines.

*no "servicios minimos".

In doing so they are denying the rest of citizens the right to work and support their families.

That's all I have to say on the subject.

Great pictures, never mind the event.

RLouzan: Next could be Spanish Royal Wedding coverage? :D
