Got it a few days ago.
The scanner came in with all the slides holder except the MF one.
There's no manual or software CD and without the power adapter.
The scanner is not functioning when connected to the power, just blinking red light on the front.
I took apart the top glass and found out the mechnic(head?) lost contact with the tracking tape, it's moving freely when it's not locked, just push the tracking back, it's OK.
The lower part took me some time to figure out where the screws are, they located underneath the four black ^ caps, after took it apart I found out the same problem with the upper part, push the tracking tape back, BINGO, everything worked, scanned a few pictures and it's working like a charm.
I spent $150 for the scanner, $17 for a 3rd party power supply and will buy an MF film holder and ANR inserts from betterscanning.com, I think it's a better solution compare to the original holder, right?

Go to Epson's Web site for the latest scanning software. I find that Epson's software is very good and much less fussy than third-party solutions. Plus, it's free.

Thanks, what do you think about the MF holder? Is it a good idea to spent another $130 for it?

The Epson MF carriers are truly Sh!t. If you bought the better scanning ones with ANR glass you are set. I do quick proof scans right on the glass if you have images of questionable use-ability rather than fussing with the carriers. Previews pop up quickly enough and work ok to evaluate negatives.I agree with Mike about the epson SW. It is much less fussy if you have an even negative. For dense or thin Negs I have heard claims that 3rd party can be better. Congrats!

Thanks Andy.
I think maybe I just find an unfunctional scanner and get the glass off it.
Could be a better cheap solution.
