Ain't that the truth. Sadly, many otherwise knowledgeable people don't the difference between dpi & ppi, etc.
You would think they could at least create common sense requirements but half the time they ask for "72 dpi" jpgs with no clue as to pixel counts, profiles, anything....

I want an iPad. Just because it seems like a nifty toy. As for a portfolio, I think it could be used as one but honestly I've only ever shown a portfolio twice. Every other time people just ask for my website.

Good thread. Like your blog. Typing on the iPad now, of course. Rank amateur contribution from me. Best question in the thread so far: "What century is this?" It looks from a lot of the contributions like the iPad might sometimes not be the best way to show something when you're with a client, but very often it might be the only way it will actually happen. If someone asks me why not digital and why such an old camera and why would Zeiss make a lens like that etc the iPad answers all questions. So it's just going to fall away in your professional interactions? Not likely.

Has anyone checked out Mediapad Pro? I came across this a while ago. It's supposedly for putting together a portfolio, complete with guestbook and other stuff. Details on it are not in great abundance...
Could be... They make some good points, but even digital photos take time and effort to prepare. Perhaps not so much in the presentation of the images (which is mostly automated on the iPad).
I also think you can tailor a selection of images for a specific agency or project and the ads I have met with appreciate the effort and thought that went into that.
