I attached a humble 1976 Jupiter 8m to the Leica M8 with adapter , and love it !
It is more crisp than my Summitar , although all my lenses are vintage - even the new CV 35 f 2.5 , somehow I like , not only the rendition of this lens in respect of the M8 sensor , but also the quality of the chrome mount - helped no end , perhaps , in that the silky smooth amadeo adapter rotates to focus rather than the lens in a Kiev mount .
An earlier J8 is waiting to be tested , but I am content with this lens .
I also have a great Sonnar mounted J3 , a prewar collapsible Sonnar and a rigid Sonnar 50 f 2 awaited .
But , frankly , I am content with my single lens camera - with a lens which accompanied a £3O camera .

Dee- I always preferred the look of the original J-8. I find the recomputed J-8M to be a bit softer at F2, sharpens up after F4. I had three of them, and switched over to the Helios/Menopta and J-3. I will have to re-visit it.
