Dear 35mm film

Having left film completely earlier this year, I decided a few months ago to buy a 35mm film camera to be able to shoot slower B&W film and because I just enjoy the experience of shooting film. I own several digital cameras that I enjoy and fit my purposes. Film yields beautiful results. It's fun to use. Not ready to "break up" yet ...

Great obit. It is not about the death of film but, the desire to move on to a larger and newer love.

As for digital, I wonder how persons will discover soft copies of images when negatives are no longer around. How many expect their digital files to be rediscovered say 50 years later and sell for millions in an auction. This loss of future discovery and reuse may be the biggest loss for us.
