I'm going to buy some more SD cards for my Epson RD1-s.

Since it can take cards to max 2Gb, what are the most reliable and fastest cards ? Until now, and for other cameras, I always bought Sandisk because they have a reputation of reliability, but there are several types. Is Ultra II 2Gb ok for the Epson ? Any other brands I should consider, like Kingston ?

thanks,
Stefan.

Card-Speed should not worry you, since the slot of the R-D1 is awfully slow...

I also recommend brand cards. I first bought some very cheap no names. One of them, it was 2GB - correct size - did not work in the R-D1, although it does work in my PEN and in my Mac... The three Sandisks, I bought, work perfectly in the R-D1.

I use the Sandisk Ultra II cards in my Epson. I have one or two extremes, but didn't notice any difference. I had bad experiences with a type of ATP card a few years ago; I don't even know if they're still in business.

ultra II's are fine, fast enough for the write speeds of camera to card. Another good reason to get faster cards is time it takes to DL to computer. If you're the type that sets to copy and runs off to brew some coffee, then the slower cards are good enough. But if you are usually mobile with laptop and camera, a slow download will also slow down your workflow and eventually kill your laptop battery faster... cause and effect.
