There is something about your work that makes me wish I were there and that I took that picture. The warmth it has I think. Maybe because I recognize some of the streets...
Thanks for sharing..

I love the car shots. I wonder just how many Leica street shooters are in NYC?

I posted what I intended as an imitative and complementary post to danielericweiss's winter shots in NYC - my summer shots in NYC. After reflection, I concluded that I could be accused of hijacking the OP's thread, so I have a request in to the moderator to assist in removing the post. My apologies to Daniel.

I suppose I'll wake up this sleepy thread. I agree, Daniel. I also wonder how many folks are using them as jewelry rather than actual photographic tools? I know they exist because I ran into a guy in Williamsburg that was sporting an old Kiev. I asked him about it and he immediately replied that no, he didn't know how it worked, that he had no intention of actually using it and that it was simply bling to attract the ladies.
That aside, I always enjoy it when I see someone with an RF or any old camera with film inside. Occasionally we'll actually talk and sometimes it has even lead to friendships. I met a guy once at Queensboro Plaza when he noticed me taking pictures. We get together from time to time and stalk the streets. He prefers a Nikon F.
You've got some cool stuff on your site. Bravo. A lot of the winter shots I took are still waiting to soak in the tank.

These are excellent... very personable and effortless, above all timeless... something I have been really working hard for in my work and still cant get right.

Thanks guys for your comments. I've actually posted two more sets of photos on http://thegreatbookshavebeenwritten.com (my photoblog) since I first started this thread. So check those out if you get a chance. It's finally warming up in NYC so my hands won't freeze while walking around trying to shoot. This past weekend I saw the first person walking around with a film camera in what seems like a long time, maybe it's just not the season for it.
