Curious — What defines a perfect street shot for you?

One problem with street shooting is that most of what is happening on the street is pretty boring. Folks waiting for a bus is hard to make interesting. Some do it better than others and it takes a real eye to suss out what can interest in the morass of dullness. I take Vivian Maier as a high point in street shooting. How did she come away with so many good shots plucked from the prosaic? Allard is great and in color.

It is a difficult summit.
 
I just saw a short video on Sabine Weiss on YT. Her work as a street shooter impresses me a great deal. And I noticed that she has a lot of steam in night shots as what she has shot. Or for or mist or deep shadows. They are lovely. Why do these photos appear in her work? Because they interested her. She is shooting "herself" in that she shoots her interests. Perhaps what we shoot is a reflection of ourselves?
