I was in the middle of tearing apart a Kiev 4am to re-align the rangefinder and it looks like the only resource for Kiev repair just went offline. The text is cached on the internet archive, but no pictures. I emailed Russ but seeing as the telus site is giving a 404 not found he might not have access to that either.
Does anyone have saved versions of the webpages describing the disassembly or alternate means to contact Russ?
I'm sort of up the Volga without a paddle.

I seem to have all the 'Cleaning and Repairs' pages archived apart from the 'Shutter Speed Tester' and 'Exposure Meter'.
Give it a few days and if the site doesn't reappear, PM me and I'll see if I can put them in a .zip or .rar file. It'll be quite big - 4 or 5 MB.
Steve.

Terrible! If necessary, would you send me the pages about the Oly 35RC ?

Yep, seems like the account with that provider was terminated without rescuing the contents. I hope nothing happened to him. And I really wish people would at least try to hand over contents they cannot or do not wish to maintain any more - this is not the first time relevant reference information has simply vanished on me...
If we can get the contents back together, I'd be willing to host them - I've got plenty of unused server space about.

I've mailed Russ - no need for panic, he is well and the project is not gone and forgotten. Indeed he is still active on RFF and responds to private messages here. He has run into issues with Telus billing him extra, and is about to move the server to different hosting if they don't give in.

There is a major problem with the Wayback Machine, mentioned already in the original posting, which makes it rather useless for sites such as the Kiev Survival Site.
It is obvious if you look, for example, at the archived version of Russ' shutter speed tester build instructions.

Kiev Survival Site Down?
Is there any more news on the Kiev Survival Site? I was getting ready to work on a pre-war biogon and intnded to use the site as a guide. It's a great resource and it would be a shame to lose it.
