While I may not have owned as many Leica lenses compared to others in RFF, I had owned my share over the years. And after the ebb and flow of buying and selling gear, my current RF gear consists of 2 ZI's and 4 Zeiss lenses (Biogon 21/2.8, 35/2, Planar, Sonnar) and 1 CV lens (35/1.2). The ZM lenses simply rank among the best, and IMHO, provide some of the best value (price/performance) around.

i sold all my leica gear and replaced them with zeiss ones.
you see my leica gear were pretty much older lenses and the way they draw do not appeal to me. soft when wide often, fall off is very noticeable, corners are not as good and distortion is there.
i like zeiss for its sharpness in the center and corners, zero distortion and resolution. they are for the best value (price/performance) and sometimes out perform leica. since i do not have the money for the best asph 35 and 50 lens leica offers, zeiss are my best bet.
